The Pattern Bureau is a design consultancy with roots in building brand and design systems for digital products.
It works from the belief that good systems create an internal harmony people on the other end can feel.
While design systems are still part of the work, the practice aims to turn a love of systems toward new sectors.

ABOUT PATTERN BUREAU
My approach to systems was shaped by early work in architectural documentation, historic preservation, and community design in Richmond. I'm drawn to records of place. That began with a VCUarts-funded project documenting downtown Richmond, which led to a series of activations and a catalog. I also kept a campy blog cataloging every Doric column in the Fan District. Since 2016, I've applied that love of documentation and systems to digital products for global brands. Now I'm bringing that experience back to my formative interests.
